More than money

The best gifts don't always have a dollar sign.

An hour of your time. A room for a circle of moms. A box of self-care for a mom who forgot herself. Some of the most powerful gifts we receive never touch a checkbook. Here is exactly what we need, and how to give it.

Why this matters

Every gift holds a mom.

We are a lean organization with a big mission. That means the things you already own, and the skills you already have, do real work here.

A volunteer frees a mom for an hour. A donated room becomes a circle where she is finally seen. A box of self-care says someone remembered her. If it holds a mom, we can probably use it. Below is the honest list of what helps most right now.

Give your time

Your hours are a lifeline.

You do not need to write a check to hold a mom up. You need a few hours and something you already know how to do.

At a circle

Welcome moms, help set up, or watch the little ones so a mom can focus on herself for an hour. Sometimes the gift is simply a warm face and a listening ear.

Behind the scenes

Lend your skills with social media, newsletters, data, event planning, or fundraising. Steady hands behind the scenes keep every program running.

Lead a session

Counselors, wellness pros, and coaches: lead a workshop or a few minutes of calm at a circle. Paid or donated, your gift gives moms real tools.

Space & know-how

Space, skills, and the quiet gifts.

Space

A room for a Peer Support Circle, a venue for an event, or office space in the Atlanta area. Room to gather is room to heal.

Expertise

Donated professional services: photography, legal, accounting, graphic design, web, grant writing, and licensed mental-health pros.

Business gifts

Gifts of stock, donor-advised fund grants, employer matching, or in-kind from your company. Sponsors, see partner with us.

A note on taxes

Give smart.

In-kind gifts are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. For non-cash gifts valued over $5,000, the IRS generally requires a qualified appraisal and Form 8283. We provide a written acknowledgment for every gift. Magenta Momz is a Georgia 501(c)(3), EIN 87-2116457. We are not tax advisors, so please talk with yours.

Good questions

Before you give.

I only have a couple of hours a month. Is that useful?

Yes. One volunteer at one circle can change a mom's whole week. Tell us what you have and we will find the right fit.

Can you use gently used items?

For many things, yes. New is best for the self-care and skincare items that go into our care packages. When in doubt, just ask.

Is an in-kind gift tax-deductible?

Yes, to the extent allowed by law. For non-cash gifts valued over $5,000, the IRS generally requires a qualified appraisal and Form 8283. We provide a written acknowledgment for every gift. Please talk with your own tax advisor.

How do I get my gift to you?

Reach out through our contact form or email [email protected], and we will arrange drop-off, pickup, or shipping.

I would rather give money. Where do I go?

Thank you. Head to our Donate page to give once or monthly, or join the Magenta Circle.
